CERRUTI was founded by Nino Cerruti in Paris in 1967. A pioneer of men’s ready-to-wear, Nino Cerruti believed that real elegance was anchored in dressing comfortably. This vision extended beyond menswear, and CERRUTI was one of the first to establish a unisex approach to collections; offering women the feminine iterations of men's wear. By the 1990s, CERRUTI’s name had become synonymous with elegant dressing, unstructured tailoring, and fluid and comfortable silhouettes.
Today, the French luxury Maison with Italian heritage is being reinvented under the direction of Daniel Kearns, who was appointed Chief Creative Officer in September 2023. In their new incarnation, CERRUTI reconnects with its visionary heritage, offering men and women luxury wardrobes based on values shared with the brand's late founder, Nino Cerruti.

THE DESIGNER
Nino Cerruti has been designing for both men and women since his first collection graced the runway of his Paris boutique on Place de la Madeleine in 1967. A true trendsetter in fashion, Cerruti blended gender lines on the catwalk long before co-educational high schools became the norm. His avant-garde “his and hers” looks captured the attention of fashion magazines, making front-page news.
He introduced groundbreaking fabric techniques that flowed beautifully, offering a crisp, lightweight, and crease-resistant quality, redefining the allure of the Cerruti silhouette while rendering heavy shoulder pads and traditional padding obsolete.

AVANT-GARDE VISION
As a pioneering creator, Cerruti draws inspiration from cultural references. In one of his early interviews, he stated, “Primitive societies fall back on intense forms and exaggerated colors. The more civilized they are, the more subtle their taste becomes.” Firmly convinced that beauty remains essential in today’s world, Cerruti continues to impart his elegant, streamlined style to contemporary fashion.
His collaborations with iconic photographers such as Mario Testino, Jean Loup Sieff, Oliviero Toscani, and Paolo Roversi played a pivotal role in shaping his brand's visual identity.
